Disappearing Wrasse

I have had a six lined wrasse for some time - very healthy it seemed. A while back it disappeared for about 4 days then reappeared. This time it has been over a week. Any chance it might reappear? Has anyone else experienced this and if so why does it do this? No changes in water parameters to indicate that perhaps it had died.
Thanks very much...

My carpenter wrasse like to swim into the overflow. I always find him the same day since I know something is up when he is not out when I am feeding.

Many wrasses jump. Flasher wrasses really like jumping. I am not sure about six lined wrasses.

My daughter picked a 6 line as "Her" fish for our tank. I kid you not it disappeared once for 3 1/2 weeks and we thought it was gone and eaten up. Checked the overflows, sump, filter socks, floor and etc as well as behind the tank and no signs of it. Started looking at the LFS for another one and came home one day and there he was again like nothing happened. He did it again a few weeks later for about a week so yours may still be there.

I have a coris wrasse that buries itself in the sand every night and other times when he seems to be scared. Maybe normal for the six line also? It is normal for some wrasse to bury.

I`m pretty sure the 6 lines don`t bury in the sand. The usually build a mucous cocoon and wedge themselves in the rock somewhere
