jeeman99 - negative feedback

We had a deal worked out where I would trade a Yuma frag I had for a candycane frag he had. We live close enough so that we could ship UPS Ground and it would get there next day.

Say hello Yuma:

I told him at least 3 times in our messages that I would ship first in a cooler and he could ship the candycane back to me in the same cooler.

I shipped on a Monday and he got it on Tuesday. He said it was in perfect condition and that he would ship Wendsday for Friday delivery.

Wendsday came and went without getting anything and since I got zero messages from jeeman I assumed he didn't ship and would the following day.

Package shows up Friday and I discover that he shipped the candycane in a metal paint bucket inside another box!
Ummm where did the cooler go?

I check the tracking number and sure enought he dropped it off on Wendsday night but DHL misrouted the package (Not jeemans fault).

I get my paint can home and open it to discover that it was a total loss. Shipping the candycane in a metal paint can in 90 degree heat is like putting it in an oven. Plus most of the water had leaked out of the cheap ziplock bags.

This is what I saw:

So I told him Friday night it was all lost and he said he would check into it and make it right. This was on 7/22

During the next week I don't hear anything from him and send him some messages asking what is going on.

I sent a message on 7/26 & 7/31 asking that he at least return the cooler because I use it for trades.

I get a reply on 8/2 that he will ship it back to me later that day.

Still no shipments from him.

I e-mailed him yesterday at 5 and have given him 24 hours to let me know what is going on with it but still no reply, even though he read my message and has been online.

This is just a crummy way of dealing with someone, promising one thing and doing another. This is my first time getting burned and it sure will be my last. Pathetic.

I'm sick of leaving messages and not being replied to so I guess we'll see if this does any good.

I'm not holding my breath.

That stinks.. I traded some zoas w/ him for a crocea clam thought the deal was to good to be true.. apparently it was because the mantle was pinched.. I actually met him in a parking lot of mcdonalds, and we did the trade.. He quickly grabbed the package and hopped in his car and drove away... I think this guy may trade off dead or dying livestock.. Also he must make a habbit of putting the corals in strange contianers because I rec'd the clam in a lime pickling juice container which still smelled a bit, so I dont know that it was even cleaned out well! Just my 2 cents

Hey PufferFish / N_Sarno / Nick why the name change??, How could you leave negative feedback about me. Here is your post under trader feedback.

http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=846530

And what do you mean I just quickly grabbed the package and hopped in my car and drove away. What did you want me to do stay and chat I had to leave plus your Aunt I am sure would not have liked to stay while we chatted reef.... I did not have time for that. And as for the pickling lime container so what!! it was cleaned out and there was nothing wrong with the clam......If you were so dissappointed you should have called me or wrote a negative feedback. As for Colindam I will make sure he is taken care of. I have NEVER had any problems with my livestock in the past........... Either of you can call me direct 630-878-7898 to discuss..

By the way, those candy canes look alive to me...did anyone else notice this? That how they look when they ship.

jeeman got a hold of me today and offered to make it right, gotta respect that.

And it was DOA, the skeleton was poking through and after getting a whiff there is no way you would want it in your tank. Remember, 7 pm on Wendsday night until 5 pm Friday night it was in 90 + degree heat.

Here is a picture, it looked worse in person.
