The Leo will need MUCH more than a 10g. I've had mine for almost 9 years now, and she's at least 10" long. I suggest a 20L at the smallest (what I have...want to upgrade and build her a wood cage).

I should have been more detailed.

They can live in a 10 gallon for quite some time.. but as they get older and bigger... I realize they will need a bigger tank.

Any pictures of yours? or you tank?

Not currently...I will try to snap some for you this week.

I love reptiles/amphibians. I was going to setup a big tank as a vivarium for dart frogs. My 135 would look AWESOME If I could find a cheap similar sized tank, then I'd be all over it. Time to save...

I have a GREAT idea! I can build a frog tank out of plywood in the spring time! And that way I can make it as huge as possible

I can light it with my IceCap 430, and use a Rubbermaid as the sump for the waterfall! cooooooooool

Yo T....

What kind of substrate do you use? I was planning on sand.. .but I heard if they ingest a lot of it on accident, it can hurt them.

I use Calci-sand. It's made of calcium salts I think, or something along those lines, so that if they ingest it, it wont be harmful.

People over at www.kingsnake.com , mainly breeders, use paper towels I think. I personally don't like the look, but Leo's aren't technically from sandy deserts.

The are found in forests in whatnot that do contain sand/soil.... so it is partly natural for them.

No I am not.

I am going to keep the gecko in a 15 gallon long or maybe a 10 gallon depending on the size of him.

Then in the Spring when Phishy Business opens a store... I am going to set up my 16 gallon bow for a pair of Sea Horses.

I'm too smart... yes I know

well the problem says:

an elevator accelerates upward at 1.50 m/s^2. If the elevator has a mass of 200 kg, find the tension in the supporting cable.

I know that i am supposed to make some sort of chart for vertical and horizontal forces and use some sort of equasion, i think it's supposed to be equal to ma (mass times acceleration) but i just don't know what i'm supposed to do or why. I am really lost. Thanks to anyone that wants to try it.

The forces of the elevator are the tension in the cable and its weight, 1960N. The tension is found from the second law.

T- 1960N= (200kg)(1.5m/s^2)
T= 2260N
I'm pretty sure that's correct. Let me know though.

On a much less complicated note, hey everyone
