Actually, I'm not sure I'm going to do my reaquascaping project. I removed two valonia infested rocks, which were awkwardly placed in the front of the tank, and it looks much better now, with the exception of microbubbles. So, I'm going to soak those for a few days in a bucket of RO/DI, and my valonia should go away. There are few rocks with bubble algae anymore, these ones were just covered, so I took them out. I think I'll try the sponge method of microbubble control before I head off to Home Depot this weekend. Now to find a safe sponge...

Well, no one reminded me of how awesome it would look. They just said it was a bad idea, and I'd be back to the 135.

Meanwhile, I seem to have fixed the microbubble problem. I took the strainer intake off the Mag18 and put a sponge I found in Giovanni's stuff (I rinsed and cleaned don't worry) on it. Now there's like 2-3 bubbles coming out of each return every second or so. Not bad
The problem now is that there is a lot of stuff in suspension, and the water is kinda cloudy/yellowish. Time to get that carbon. So problems numbers 1 and 2 are fixed. Goodbye microbubbles and valonia

Kent Organics Absorption Resin

Removes organic pollutants, stain, and entrained toxic gases to provide a pure environment in marine and freshwater aquariums • Contains special form macroporous organics adsorption resins • Reduces or eliminates carbon usage • Regenerable over and over again • DOES NOT REMOVE TRACE MINERALS FROM THE WATER AS COMPETING PRODUCTS AND CARBON DO! • White beads turn to a light yellow or brown, indicating exhaustion and need for regeneration • Resin life is about 2 years of service.
It sounds like carbon, but better. Here is the link to the page: http://www.justphish.com/drygoods/fi...ationmedia.htm

BTW, this vendor is JP, a CTARS member, great site/store!

I like Purigen--it lasts longer than carbon. I run both however.

IMO, you'd be better off with carbon--it's the most natural, and clearly effective. But I must say that I'm not a huge fan of Kent products (even though they are based ATL). Just a personal preference though.

Ok. I've had good experiences with Kent, so I'll try them.

If they (some, certainly not all) are only beneficial to your tank, then how are they bad?

OMG
In honor of Episode III, I just watched IV and V. It is unbelievable how many references they make in the originals to the new ones. Like when Luke says to Obi-Wan, "You fought in the clone wars?!" Before, we had no idea what he was talking about. Now, we are enlightened, and it is AMAZING to see how Lucas had everything planned. I LOVE STAR WARS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea I was going to go see Episode 3 again tonight at 10:30 but mom wouldn't let me.

This weekend I am going to rent Attack of the Clones and watch it.

Then next week I am going to see ROTS again with my dad.

I'm hoping to go sometime this weekend at like 11am so I'd be able to get tickets.
It really is amazing how the story completely unfolds now. Just watch IV, V, and VI again, and you will be amazed at the references to the new ones.

I was watching this creature thing on Animal Planet last night before the movie. It was about Star Wars and the creatures they used in the movies compared to the ones in real life, etc.

Anyways, it was funny to clips of the creatures on Hoth and the Ranecore because they were so old movies. It would be kind of cool for them to re-make the old ones using todays technology.

Nasty. I survuve just fine with a fuge and lots of LR with good flow. Not a chemical near the tank, and it is pristine.

Looks good but needs more to the homepage. I don't know if you were trying to keep it simple or what... make more color... or pictures or spread out the words more.... but so far looks nice.
