You thread-crosser Jordo!

Yes, I did give away my midas. She was constantly being picked on by my female skunk (her favorite hiding spot was too close to the anemone for the clown's approval, and she was too stubborn to relocate), and living with the SHs wasn't ideal, as blennies are fairly active fish. Also, my friend lost her midas after a tank crash while on vacation, so I thought it would be both nice and in the best interest of the fish to help her out.

I miss that fish though...

WOW, that's incrediable, nice pics Josh!!!

And I had an epiphany, if that's how you spell it, I mean, think about this:

If the major scleractinian corals (sps etc.) could be gone from the oceans in 30 years, aquaria will house the only genetic pool of these corals. It would result in a severe evolutionary population bottleneck, but at least we would have the genotypes for a number of these corals, in case they could one day be reintroduced to more hospitable oceans or if any cures to cancer etc. lied within them.

Not a problem Tyler, as soon as I take some good pictures, hahaha. But right now I'm more interested in catching one of the clowns who has a nasty raw abrasion on his side. I just introduced him after 2 months in quarintine being treated for fungus! Sheesh, can't the clowns not beat up on eachother!

You're right--you won't find them grazing on grass all day long. On the contrary, they "snick" up their food, which involves a quick sucking movement of their snout. The remains are expelled through the top of their head. Pretty darn cool to watch.

Speaking of seahorses and their cuteness...(talk about a challenge to photograph!)
