Loud sump even with Dursos... drilled to end surging... But still loud

For your loud sump gurgle, I would add a T to where your elbow is and have a straight PVC pipe riser going straight up to help reduce the gurgle and keep your water flow below the water line like you currently have.

I also think the ladder you walked into or tripped on while filming was the loudest, LOL.

Here's a photo of what I mean. The pipe is to the right of the skimmer cup with the blue sponge stuffed in the top to stop the bubbles and splash:

Thank you Erics I was initially so nervous about what that would look like but WOW if I do say so myself LOL it looks great

I am running 3 X 3600 GPH Darts... One is on each 4way and one is for the sump... In conversations and research with Paul from OM on various pump specs it turns out 3 Darts are really much better than 1 larger say Hammerhead... Better electrical draws, redundancy, flow vs cost ect I was very surprised but I LOVE them

I have the same setup in my fuge to my sump, what I did was bought the PVC caps that go over that size tube and drilled holes in them, it reduces noise and splatter.

Nice I thought about that but wondered if it would have been too restrictive? Evidently not

Gig where do you buy your filter socks?

...

You can always try it out and if you don't like it, just remove them, as they don't need to be glued on...

I hate way too much salt spray without them, now I just get a bit of creep out of the holes, which are probably 1/4", you could drill bigger holes.

my LFS sells the filter bags, but you can go on the Precision Marine website and buy them on line, they are 100 micron bags, with nice handles built in and a solid ring that keeps them open.
