Mushroom leather ??
I bought a rock with about 6 or 7 mushrooms (pink/purplish) about 6 months ago and now they are covering the rock. I wanted to know if there is a way to transplant any to a new rock so they can continue growing. I also have some green ricordia and not sure where to put them. High/Low flow, close to light, and what to feed.
Thanks |

Nevermind...Reading previous posts actually helps... They are spreading around the rock nicely but my ricordias aren't really getting bigger. I lost 2 small pieces and have 2 larger one left.
What supplements should I add to the tank for mushrooms and for ricordia. I don't use anything right now. My params are: PH = 8.1 Trite/trate/ammo = 0 alk/dk = 4.23/11.4 CA = 400 Phosph = .1 ppm Temp = 78-80 Sal. = 1.024 |

I don't really add any supplements, regular water changes should do it.

yup, regular water changes are the best thing you can do for your tank. It'll add back anything you need to supplement and it takes out a lot of the nutrients and toxins too.

I add seachems reef plus to my tank and everythings growing much better now than before I used it (Ive used it for about a year now). I also do water changes usually 20% once every 3-4 weeks in my 55 gallon.
My Florida rics seem to like more light than most of my other shrooms so I have them higher up in the tank (about 7-10 inches below surface under T5 lighting). Yumas seem to like lower light (at least most of mine do). They all like lower-medium flow but to me the Florida rics seem to tolerate higher flow better. kass |

I think your assesment is pretty correct. my floridas love my MH but my yumas hate it and most of them have to be put in the shade.
