White blotches on my Imperator
I wonder why this little fellow looks like this in the morning before the lights turns on. Most of the white blotches disappear later in the afternoon. Is't stress or nourishment or something else.

Mine does this too. Nothing to worry about. He has been doing this for over a year.

I just lost my Imperator over the weekend and he looked like that for 6 days or so before he passed. I did everything I could think of to nurse him back but nothing worked. He showed signs of ich about a week ago and then got very blotchy. I think mine was due to stress, just make sure you keep an eye on him. If he starts breathing heavy you have a problem.
Here is my thread with a pic of my Imperator that passed: http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=587430

depends on if he is hiding or not. Most of my tangs will get like that at night when they are sleeping. Even my clown will turn almost starch white. Its sort of bizzare cause they look almost dead sometimes and they take a little time to wake up when the lights turn on.
