The only problem about a tnak that small is its going to be a pain to keep the water clean.

How much are you selling them for? I live in New hampshire. It's tough to see what color they are and the actual size? Are they hippocampus zostrae (spelling could be wrong). i have a 5 gallon eclipse I could put them in. A 34 gallon dedicated seahorse tank and a 90 gallon reef tank with both fish and coral. They cannot go into this tank. They'd go in one of the other dedicated tanks. Is hatching live brine shrimp a lot of work?

That 5gal tank would be perfect. The others would be WAY to big. There Dwarf seahorses. Not sure on the Real scientific name. There about 1" or so long. color varies as they seam to change depending on whats in the tank. I had white sand in the tank and they were more of a brown color but when i put black sand in the tank there more yellowish. Hatching Brine is easy. Just get a 2liter some brine eggs and an air pump and your good to go. I have 5 horses left but can order more. I have them on my site www.SaltCritters.com

Where are you located? I don't see any address on your home page. What would be the shipping charges on them?

I get worried about their survival rate going through the shipping process.

It depends on how many you get. It usually runs between $25-35. THey ship really well. I had one order a few years ago that the post office screwed up and they were in the box for 5 days. I opened them up and they were all alive somehow.

scientific name: Hippocampus Zosterae (Greek: hippos = horse, kampi = curve)
and then I read this on seahorse.org
Quote:
Traditionally I have read that Zostera is derived from Greek, with "zoster" meaning "belt" or "strap shaped". Most authors assume this was in reference to the shape of the leaves.
however there is also rumor they are named after the seagrass zostera but there is reason to disbelieve that

I generally run a filter to remove any uneaten BS just prior feeding the next batch. If have a BS hatching failure, as I did this morning, I add a pinch of Spirulina powder and 5-7 drops of Selco to my 5 gal tank. My theory is that I am feeding and enriching the more than 12 hour old BS. This has never seemed tto have an adverse effect on my seahorses.

I'd be interested to hear what some of you think about doing this.

I put a sponge in my tank and some pods a few weeks ago. There are so many pods in there now i probably donet even have to feed the little guys. I still do tho.
