Since i plan to stare at this thing a few hours a day, it had better be appealing to my eyes. From what i've seen on the new BB tanks, they don't look very eye appealing to me. However, i'm willing to sacrifice that if in the long run their looks improve once established. So, please.....show off your established BB tank!!
Part of the problem is that many of us reefers change tanks and upgrade/move/divorce (not me)/catastropic failure, etc often. When I finally had my 200g BB running 5 yrs, it was the most beautiful tank I could imagine with tons of coraline on the bottom and the tank looked awesome. When a BB-ottomer moves a tank or upgrades, it does take a while for the new tank to start looking good. Very different that someone who simply slaps 4" of sand in their new tank.

Here's a pic of my 3 month old BB.

150 mixed reef with 180 sump. I'd really rather wait 6 months or a year to post a pic, but what the heck.

not meaning to Hyjack the thread but for those of you who have clams and softies in your BB tank, what is your setup for flow? right now I have detrius settling in some places and every time I try to bump up the flow, my clams and softies get POed.

Nice Tank! Those are some good looking and sized tabling acros. I also like how the Monti(?) is encrusting on the BB.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Sorry, I had not gotten update notifications to this thread for some reason. No, my tank has never been TOTM. That would be my dream. But there are a lot of nice tanks out there that are much more deserving than mine.
