BARF dog food

I remember someone here feeds thier dogs BARF food. Does anyone buy pre-packaged food or do you make your own?

i believe that's the whole idea. it's all fresh...barf, Bones And Raw Food. i do a modified version of barf only because it's so hard to get all of the ingredients to switch to 100% barf.

Well by pre-packaged I mean we have a local breeder who mixes all the stuff for barf together and freezes them in chubs for sale. I'm just looking for different recipes people use.

that's in interesting idea! Do you have a list of what is in each chunk? There are freeze dried recipies out there you can buy but it runs something like 50$ for 15 lbs or some outlandish thing. She's got a good thing going if she's not marking it up too much.

this appears at the very bottom of the home page:

This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.

does that apply to everything they sell? as in...you can't use their products as the sole source of food?

I noticed that also but they said in person that you can use it for primary feeding. I think they had to put that on there b/c of something to do with FDA regulations.
