Hey Dino - as requested

Well I go Lou today, my new foster dog. I'm so broken hearted. You can't imagine how skinny he is, he's at 49 pounds right now and just skin and bones. The pics don't really show how skinny he is. He's resting comfortably under my husbands desk as of now. After looking at him, he's not a GSP like my dog but an English pointer but we'll still take care of him for a while. He's definitely been an outside dog, he's covered in callouses from being in a kennel and he's right at home in our dog kennel here.

Awwww, he looks so sad!

Glad to hear he's in a good home now though. My dog Titus (see avatar) was a rescue too. He was 67lbs when we got him just before Christmas and he's already close to 75lbs now. He was an outside dog also but now loves laying on his blanket on the love seat. How someone can let dogs get like that I'll never know. Best of luck with him!

Well for right now, we are just fostering him and putting some weight on him. If he turns out to be a good gun dog (he was a quail hunter before found) We may keep him, if not, he'll be adopted out to some one else. The rescue group is good about screening people who want dogs.

K9 - when we got our first foster, he was an outside dog. We let him in the house and it took us about three days to not to have to force him outdoors to go to the bathroom. I bet he thought A/C in Texas was the best thing in his life.

Awwwww! I don't understand how people can possibly let their pets get to that condition . Makes you want to take away their food and shove them in a pen outside and see how they like it. I'm sure he'll be gaining lots of weight and love in the coming days and weeks and possibly months!

You got that right, he's already had one can of soft food and two cups of dry food. He'll get more for dinner later tonight I don't remember if I posted Lou's story before. He was found wandering in the country and the couple who had him picked him up. Apparently Lou got separated from his hunting party. After getting in touch with the ranch hand, who contacted the owner in regards to Lou. The owner just said "Shoot him" How can someone say anything like that??????????? The ranch hand didn't want to shoot him so the couple took him and contacted the rescue group I work with.

Aww, what a lucky pup to have found a foster home to love him. Such a sweet face.
