OZONE

the only troubles I've ever had with ozone is it reacting with different types of plastics and breaking them down. Kind of like UV. Keep an eye out for anything in that loop getting mushy or brittle.
We haven't seen your returns in your set up... Ocean's motions as well as wave box? Or just hard returns through the back?
Looks like you've spent as much as i paid in last years taxes on this baby. VERY NICE!
Maybe the kids don't really NEED that private school...

For the tank i am using 2 tunze 6200 streams and 2 pan world pumps a 150ps and a 100px-x both will give me 1000 GPH, more than enough total flow for the tank.... plus the wavebox.

Thats the nice thing about being 28 with no kids, can spend the money on toys.. that day will soon end though.

Sweet tank! Where did you get the hoses you used? Are they more flexable then Spaflex? Why three different type hoses?

Quote:
I am also using 3 types of hose on the tank to help reduce vibration i didnt like the look or flex of spaflex. Left Kanaflex Middle Tigerflex and right is Tygon Silicon hose

Yes they are way more flexible then spaflex and they are stronger, not that the hose would break but they have a nice thick coil throughout.

I got the Kanaflex first to try it out. I l liked it and when i called back the were out but had the tigerflex, same thing different color. The Tygon hose i got to link the pumps to the sump, Its silicon hose, no vibration transfer.

Interesting idea about the silicone hose. I was just going to use flexible PVC..but I think since my tank is in a fish room, maybe it doesn't matter that much. I am trying to cut down on sound as much as possible though.

Just hitching a ride, and following the progress. In the mean time I will go back to my 55gal reef.

It really helps with the sound. If you want a quiet tank i highly recommend it.

I upgraded my photobucket account, i was exceeding the free usage. So now my pics are bigger.. ill learn to resize them this week.

Alright i went to OceanPro and got my live rock.. cant beat cherry picking for $2.09 a pound. I took most of the large pieces.. lol i opened almost every box they had (30 or so) and cherry picked the ones that i wanted.

Nice guys... here is what i got...

6 boxes just over 400 lbs of rock. I may have extra... Better to have to much then not enough, its not exactly close to me.

nice big pieces

Now i need to cure it..

thats my bathtub full of rock..
and to get some air i turn on my jets...
