awsome christmas light score for me!

so last night i looked into getting some led lights for next year, but noticed sears had 24 boxes of my preferred 150 light strands. they were down to 50% off, which was about half the price of the leds i was wanting also.

after thing about it today while the kids were testing, i decided to go ahead and get a few boxes from sears and wait on the leds. when i got there they were 75% off!! i bought all 24 boxes for less than $4/box!!

i might have enough to go griswald this year!

I've had about 15,000 up for the past 2 years
I have over 85,000 total, just haven't organized enough to put them all out
Last year was a switch over to LED, so no increase in light count
20' Tree from LED's = 80 watts
Old C-9 tree = 3300 watts

We've had single digit Temps, so I haven't broken down the rest of the display. I'm actually selling off about 15,000 brand new lights - 100 ct minis - since I'm converting to LED

i can see it now, the FAA sends out a warning to all light aircraft pilots that the numerous brightly lit areas spread across the nation, undoubtedly the work of some cult of deviant club, are not airfields. they are houses, with insane owners who are competing with one another to see who has the brightest house visible from space.

Due to the time involved with setup I'll begin in July
I'll have to redress the display in a Red White & Blue theme until Thanksgiving. At that time an orangy theme will be displayed until after Halloween. Then I can remove the orange to display true colors

Actually I will be setting up & testing different parts thru the summer. This will make setup in November easier
