High Hopes

I got this rescue 2 days ago. This picture was taken immediately after it went in the tank. It appears to be Favites or something similar. I think it'll be quite nice once it colors back up.

I got a worm brain in similar shape a couple weeks ago. The regrowth I have seen is unreal-2/3rds of the formerly white worm areas are geting flesh colored. The green fissures were already there as yours is. Oftentimes though its a 50 50 whether they will continue to decline or perk back up. Depends a lot on what caused its problems to begin with.

Yeah it can be saved Matt. It's actually not in that bad of shape. My LFS received this piece just like it is, but it really hadn't improved in their tank over the couple of months they had it. We'll see what happens in my tank.
