I am supprised you need them. With that volume of water the temp should be quite stable, in addition your lighting should add more that enough heat. Do you have a large sump system in the basement?

I have a Won Brother Pro heat 300w for my 400 gal system. No problems.

Won Brother heaters have a horrible reputation. I wouldn't use one. I also have used the Jalis and have blown two controllers and three elements.

I woudl highly recommend that you get either a Ranco or Aqua Logic controller(s) with an 800w or 2 x 400W elements.

I have had one on my large system for about a year and the other on my 200 gal system for 4 years. They do have very little demand on them so the really haven't been taxed.

Check out Aquatic-Eco Systems for just about the best heaters you can buy. I know the elements are a pain and when I went lights out a couple of weeks ago, I found another one blown. Because I have such powerful lamps, my heaters don't come on much either. But during a power outage I plug at least one into my generator.

That is why I recommended 2 x 400W. That way you have a better chance of at least one being good. I use 2 x 800W in my system.
