Bristleworm ?

I found a bristleworm in my new trachy brain. I lured it out a bit and grabbed the head with some hemostats. The head came off but the rest of the body was stuck to the coral. Will the rest of the worm die. Also could the worm caused any damage, there was a couple spots on the corals flesh that something damaged it.

Nope a new improved head will grow. BTW, for the most par they are benificial for you tank until they get out of control. Arrow crabs will eat the babies if they are breeding
