Great job with saving a needy coral However, I would like to say for everyone out there following this thread, BE VERY CAREFUL with rescuing bad looking corals. Often times if a coral looks bad or unhealthy when you get it, it could be due to infestation by an unwanted pest such as nudibranch's or redbugs or AEFW's. In this case, he was lucky, it looks to have been free of pests and is now looking great. However, I was not so lucky. I brought home a colony of browned out purple haze and it was covered in nudibranch eggs which I didn't discover until it was already in my frag tank. I'm now dealing with nudi's throughout my whole system. It was my fault for not checking the coral very carefully first, but at the time I was just thinking how great it would be to "rescue" this coral and get a nice colony for cheap (actually I got it for free). Sucks and I just don't want anyone else to make the same mistake as me.
