If they like where they are and are healthy they will drop offspring.

no they will drop them, but they are easy enough to remove. If you belong to a local club you can give them away or sell them

I guess that you just need to do what ever it is that I'm doing, because I've had mine for about 6 months, and it has only grown about 1 inch.

If they like their spot it can get annoying to be pulling pieces off all the time though. They are all over my 55 at the moment. In a small tank like ours it isn't that big of a deal, but it is a huge pain in a large tank where you can't easily reach everywhere.

I have Kenya Tree in my tank. I love the coral, and others seem to like it too. Personally I would say get it, not because I like it, but because when they do drop little trees, it is very very easy to remove them and have frags to sell or trade to local shops or reefers for other corals that you are looking for.

That's what I do. To me Kenya Tree is much much easier to control then say GSP or Xenia.

That is if you can see them and get to them without tearing down the tank. Xenia generally grows upward. As long is you put it near the top of the rockwork, it'll grow up onto the glass, then you can scrape it off and trade/toss the excess. Kenya trees "drop" new trees, unattached, that get blown around the tank to behind the rocks and other inaccessible areas.
