What are they

I have these things in my tanks that are a type of worm I think. They are white at the base and green toward the top and they have hairs coming out of the top. I also think that they secrete a string that looks like spider webbing. Anyone know.

Sorry no camera. They stick out of the rocks. Is there a gallery somewhere of stuff like this.

They do move, right? Other than that, the description sounds like Neomeris , a calcareous algae.
