Can I keep sps?

Can I keep sps and/or lps in my bio cube 29 with the stock lights?It has Coralife 10,000K 36Watt Compact Fluorescent lamps and corallife actinic 36Watt Compact Fluorescent lamps.I have added a bio cube protien skimmer,a flow spliter to the 316 GPH submersible pump,and a Koralia 1, 400 gph Circulation Pump.

I would upgrade to MH or T5's before I tried SPS's. You should be able to do LPS's.

mh= metal halile
t5 is a type of floresent lighting.
you need to read some of the threads in this forum.

at the top of this forum there is a thread called FAQ about SPS. check it out. It will hold all the info you need to know about their requirements and maintaining a SPS tank. Read Read Read. Sps can be frustrating but if you take the proper time and energy then you will be rewarded.

as for you first question, I wouldnt try growing SPS with compact flo lighting. You wont get the growth or color if you can even keep them alive. Depending on your situation you should look into (like killagoby stated) either metal halide or T5 flo lighting. There are a few differences but both do a good job at growing SPS. There are numerous threads about each styles and comparisons. cozy up to your computer and start researching but be prepared to become addicted.
