red expulsion from something in tank??

after moving a rock and some coral last night a squirt of red little balls surronded by a redish cloud was emitted from something in my tank it then happened again about 10 minutes later

it looked as though it came from the hydnophora but that doesnt seem to make sense (unless it was spawning??), the only other corals in that area are a few giant polyps (like large zoa's with green stripes radiating from the centre???) and some diferent types of sponges (yellow, orange, white and black)

any one seen something like this before???

i dont know if it was a good thing or a bad thing

Sounds to me like something was spawning.

Ditto the spawning idea. What was having it's jollies last night however, is very hard to speculate, unless you saw it. Most of the times I've seen my snails/worms spawning, they usually had white eggs/sperm, so the red coloring helps a little.
Sounds like more of a question for the experts.
