Securing PC bulbs in their clips

I just installed my pc retro kit and as I was removing my hood, 2 of the bulbs popped out of there clips (partly because the socket cords became restricted. Luckily I still had my glass top on. Before removing this glass top, I'd like to do something to secure these bulbs in there metal clip - Any suggestion?? I thought About putting egg crate to replace the glass top, but I'd rather secure the bulbs if possible.

Thanks!

CSL or Hamilton?

I've got the CSL retro kit, and purchased an ABS hood from Hamilton, along with a few clips from them. I intended to use the Hamilton clips, but realized they were just too week.

The CSL clips, in comparison to Hamilton's, are very tight and secure.

You may want to try bending the clips together so they hold a little tighter...

I used ZipTies to secure my bulbs. I put them at an angle from the base of the clip, then around the bulb and it works fine.

Be careful not to get the clips to tight either, if to tight they will tend to break the bulb at the base, especially if there is any flex in your hood. I had to spread my csl clips alittle to loosen them. Then agian they are just stamped form and probally vary from batch to batch. Bulbs can slide in clip but not rotate or drop out.

I have a CSL 6-96 retro and those clips are super tight. You have to make an effort to spread them apart before inserting the bulbs.
