I believe that's drauka99 home area.

I've been done trade shows there, but they were in the fall.

Well January is our coldest month, we had a cold snap of 22 degree wether last week but since its bounced back into the 60s and 70s. Mornings are a bit chilly for us beach people.

Feb. is a slow month and alot of tourist places are closed for the winter. Plent of snow birds (northerners that winter here) will be around but I wouldn't expect any lines or anything at any stores or anything.

The second picture is the Destin bridge (local name) it will be your welcome to Destin likly. When on the bridge to the south you will be looking at the Destin Pass into Choctawhatchee Bay and to the southeast you will see te Destin Harbour/ Old Pass Lagoon. Pretty impressive sigts there.

PM me with any questions. Would like to meet ya if we can work it out while your in town.

Thanks.

Any decent snorkeling or must do things in the area? I'm actually going to be there for a photography conference at the Sandestin but will have a few days to kick around beforehand.

I dunno if they are doing scuba on the Aircraft Carrier yet - yes about 30 minutes away is where the sank the aircraft carrier for an articficial reef. The government was going to start allowwing divers to dive it but I dunno if thats happened yet. PS - they sank it so the flight deck it up and flat, how cool is that.

When at SanDestin if you like BBQ you have to go to Jim n Nicks BBQ its right there in SanDestin, there are only three of them in the world - original in Birmingham, Sandestin and one up in my town.

It's not a class.

It's the North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA) annual summit.

I've had the ribs at the Sandestin location - outstanding.

Only my ribs are better.
