Yes actually.....much like gun hunting a dog is usually used to flush the ducks, or pheasant, quail, grouse, etc. It truly is an amazing site to see up close. This gorgeous bird on the fist and then she takes off and flys downwind....corners and turns into the wind...climbing up and up and up and up to sometimes as high as 2000 ft.......then; when the dog flushes the game....she literally rolls over on her back....and PLUNGES at 250 mph in a corkscrew spiral until she impacts her prey !!!!

In the past I have tried to take pictures of my Dad working his Peregrine Falcon male, Buddy, and even though I focus on a previously designated spot....the bird will come flying past my head at 90-100 mph and surprisingly enough; I don't get the picture taken !!! Go Figure !!!

You mentioned that he breeds them, have you got any pictures of the babies, parents caring for them, etc? Not sure about anyone else, but I'd find that fascinating -- I can understand if the breeding area is off-limits though, I know that you have to be really careful about exposing them to germs and things (I worked in a pet store at one time and had to go through a whole routine of sterilizing my hands, changing clothes etc. before I could go see the baby parrots; I assume all birds are similarly delicate).
Check your state's Falconry club.....do a google search for Falconry groups or clubs or go to apfalconry.com and you might find it listed there !

As for pics of babies...yes I can get some but I must warn you, and Reefcherie can back me on this, a baby bird of prey, has a face only a mother could love ! They are so NOT ATTRACTIVE babies !!! LOL ! There hideous appearances give no hint to what amazing creatures they will grow to become !!!

Awwww, but I think they are so homely they are cute! Plus any parent could relate to and love the video footage of a baby falcon taking its first toddling steps and doing a face plant

It's weird how something that scrawny grows into something so majestic and beautiful.

All baby birds are so incredibly ugly that it makes them the most adorable things in the world. I only wish I could've seen my Sam as a baby like I did my other parrot.
