nudibranch infestation!

My zoos has been dying for the last few days, I was wondering why.
This morning I found a nudibranch in them, then another one, and another and another one...

I found maybe 5 or 6 in a few minutes. I'm still looking.

Is there a way to get rid of them?

Thank you!!

Nancy and Yvon

If you see 5 or 6 there are probably many many more. You can use a turkey baster to siphon them off when you see them or take the whole rock and give it a freshwater dip for a few minutes. Use RO water, warm it up to tank temp, add a little baking soda or pH adjuster to it. Shake it around in the freshwater then drop it back in the tank. Might be unhappy for a while but it'll recover.

Last week I removed 12 nudi from a medium piece of orange eye zoas. This freaking roaches left them almost dead.

I followed the instructions of fresh water dip that Mucho Reef explained on a thread here (@ RC) before:

Here is it (w/o salifert flat worm exit)

3 gal of RO....match temp & pH
5 drops of lugol's per gallon

put the piece in there for 5 min then put it upside down ant stir it cloclwise & counter clockwise as fast as you can for another minunte . Then ok for some eggs and remove them.

Put your piece back in the tank and light it just with actinic for the rest of the photoperiod.

This method work for me like a charm. I rescue my zoas from the dead with it.

Lugols is not just Iodine. It is a mix of Iodide and Iodine. I get mine from a Pharmacy but you can get the online fish store brands all the same.
