?? Cleaning filter sock ??
What's the best way to clean the filter sock/ I know that I can wash it in the washing machine but am not sure if I should put any bleach in with it. I can set machine for a double rinse cycle....

Sound like you already know how. I don't use any bleach, but others use a splash with no problems.
I also turn them inside out. |

Wash with bleach in cycle then wash again without. No harm done and my levels are fine.

If you use bleach, just be sure to rinse well and let it dry completely. Once dry, it shouldn't smell like bleach and you will be fine. Bleach breaks down quickly.

I have been using the filter sock for years. I wash them in my washer with a little bleach and have had no problems. I also keep two extra sets, and when they are all dirty, I do a group washing.

My waching machine has resavoires for fabric softner and detergent. These are automatically added when a load of laundry is added. Will this affect the socks?

Don't use any detergent or fabric softener.

How often do you change your sock? I also wash with a little bleach but I rinse at least three times. I have two socks and have been changing a sock about every four days or so…

Go to Home Depot and get a spray nozzel for your hose. Spray them till they turn white again then let dry. All I have ever done and works just fine with no worries

No washer/dryer here, i just soak mine in a bucket of bleach water for a couple days, rinse well, then let em air dry another day. Works just fine for me.

I change mine when it doesn't filter anymore, where the return water is flowing over the top.
I turn mine inside out, throw it in the washer along w/2 full caps of bleach, then let it air dry. I have two and swap them out about twice a week.

Not to hijack your thread but I had already washed two of the socks before I remembered the resevoire. Do you guys think if I soak them in bleach water for a couple days then rinse well and air dry them the socks will be ok?
