Where to Get Tank Cleaners?

My usual supplier, Live Aquaria, is out and has no idea when they'll be selling their various cleaner packs.

Any other sources?

I'm not in crisis mode or anything, but it is time to refresh the supply of snails and hermits. As well, I just started up my new frag grow-up tank and it needs a few snails added to it.

Either L.A. or Reeftopia IMO both are good.

Reeftopia.com. I placed an order really late on Sunday night and I just unpacked it now. Everything arrived in great shape and is already moving around snacking. Plenty of Emails to keep you informed of what is going on as well!

reeftopia is great. I've ordered many cleanup crews from them and haven't had any problems getting things shipped to California.

Well, it didn't go all that well.

I placed my order earlier in the week with a note that it needed to ship for Staurday delivery, since I work and can't be home to receive the package on a weekday.

The order went through and I got an automated e-mail receipt.

Unfortunately, that was the last I heard from Reeftopia...no follow-up e-mail with a tracking number or even just to say the package had shipped...no message to say they couldn't fulfill the order either...total radio silence.

Since I'd not heard from them, I went to the web site a few minutes ago to see if there was a phone number I can call, but unfortunately they only cover the phones Monday thru Thursday...today is Saturday.

As well, I discovered hiding at the bottom of the page a note that they only ship Monday thru Thursday and so do not provide any Saturday delivery.

Apparently, Reeptopia isn't interested in selling to customers with regular jobs.

It's good that so many of you have had positive experiences, more power to ya, but my first has been a disaster.

Hopefully we'll have a December warm spell here in NJ and I can risk having the package sit on my front porch all day, but the way the weather is right now, I don't think that would be wise. Besides, I'm not so sure I want to do business with a company that so completely fails to communicate with its customers.

Looks like I'll have to wait for Live Aquaria to replensih their supplies and start selling snail packs again.

Hmmmm. I think if you call them on Monday, they will at least make things right and refund you rmoney promptly. Honestly, this may be the first negative experience with Reeftopia I've read of.

well I went in on an order with a few other people here in the Pittsburgh area from Reeftopia.com please refer to the local Pittsburgh forum for the thread - the snails were good, but all 6 or so X-tra large peppermints died within 12 hours or were DOA - the website said they would be packed all separate - that did not happen, and they were not extra large -only about 1-1.5 inches long. The hermits were tiny (supposed to be regular size) . we contacted them and all they offered was to replace the dead animals if we reordered with more than $79 of stuff and paid the box/fuel charges. Obviously, we all opted to "live and learn".
