Id help - Flasher Wrasse pic included

Can anyone help Id this flasher wrasse? He's doing great, eating frozen foods. I just don't know what family he is. Thanks for your help.

Looks like a Whip-fin Fairy wrasse (Cirrhilabrus filamentosus.)

Yes, it is Cirrhilabrus filamentosus, male, not a Paracheilinus. The male of the species has a single long filaments like some members of Paracheilinus.

ok im going to get pics of the 3 wrasses i have in my 300 today and post here if you dont mind.

Dr. Tanaka the marginal fairy wrasse do you have any pics of them

keef, you're not stealing anything. I got my answer. Wrasses are exceptional and if these guys can help you out, then that makes this thread even better.

This is a male C. rubrimarginatus (ofetn misspelled rubromarginatus), 12 cm from Vanuatu. It has a pinkish zone on the back and this became light pink to whitish while the male is displaying (lower shot). Also the dorsal and caudal fins became pinkish, ventral fins blackish and pectoral fins orangish.

This shot should be posted to the Bronco's "fairy thread2.
