LifeGard Little Time & Temp - Anyone use it?

I've got the Lifegard Little Time and Temp and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get it to read the water temp. It reads the air temp, but I don't know how to switch it over to the water temp. Can anyone help me with this? I honestly feel like a total dufus on this one.

The switches on the back say temp & time or Faren. or Celcius. I've got it on F and temp (after I used time to set the clock). Now what's the deal with air or water temp?

Thanks,
Russ

I have one and the temp is way off. About 4 degrees. Almost caused some major problems. I compared it to 3 different thermometers.
