open brain questions

I'm new to all but softies, I picked up a really nice open brain at my LFS the other day, but I'm not really sure how to care for it.

my tank is 72Lx30Hx24W I have 3 250W DE MH 14K

Here are my questions:

1. How much light does it need? (IE placement)
2. Do I need to feed this guy? If so what?

Thanks for any help
Shane

yes I have... Unfortunately I did so after I posted this. As a matter of fact I just fed the brain and it took the food very happily.

Thanks
