How deep will 250 DE go

I am thinking of buying a 29" tall tank. I already have some 250 DE MH lights 14K. Will these be ok for a tank this deep?

Thanks

It would work fine in my opinion. You might have to limit what type of sps you can keep down low, but otherwise it should get pretty good penetration that deep. Are you using 14K Phoenix bulbs?

i think your good: but if you wanted more intensity down there, consider a good quality 10k bulb as these are the most intense.

I am running two 250's DE on my 30" tall tank with a 10" canopy and lighting seems to be pretty good low down.

The only reason I'm concerned about the light at the sand is my fiance' wants clams.

www.apogee-inst.com I believe is the address for apogee. Great company.

If you stick to 10K lamps 250 will do OK. If you want 14 or 20K go 400.
