Exclamation Host needed for February meeting

Hey guys we still need a host for the Feb. frag swap, so if anyone is interested in hosting just post here. Due to the lack of attendance from the icy roads, we will be having the charity raffle at this meeting as well. Also if anyone has any pictures of the tanks or the people from the previous frag swaps please let me know, as I am trying to compile them for a website.

Hey Matt I'm definitely still up for the Blacksburg tank tour/BBQ idea you mentioned a couple meetings ago. It would probably be better to wait for warmer weather though I'm sure we could get a caravan of Richmond guys there.

I would love to host. I have a 250 sps dominated tank. Would like to do some fragging. Theres over 140 different species.

Everything is automated. I live off river road. Just got done remodeling the sunroom too add a more natural reef.

Let me know if you all want to do this.

Is this Kris?

Hey Tom , I built a real 2nd stage today out of 4" pvc, and I visited (so-so) Mikes. BTW- I rate him- AWSOME.

I was doing this apparently while RRC was attacked (and many of our members) !!! I do not feel we need to reply to these "people" , they can join our group, and I feel if someboby doesn't like it -- move on! I do not see a need to reply to certain post, and hopfully I will ignore these posts!

As for my meeting, I really want to try for a meeting in the summer, when I have crabs ( in my traps) . I know SOME people do not like BEER and crabs, But I think many of us do!

Tonight, I do not want to make a rash decision on saying I will hold a meeting! ( need to talk to my Wife) But, I want you to know, You guys are allways welcome at my home.

Matt, A meeting up there would be awsome- sometime, I have heard about your chili!--- My daughter (in blacksburg) could put several of us up overnight. And we could meet some of your local reef people!

seriously, wonder if we got enough people if we could rent a charter or something, might be worth looking into. These guys in bburg are members too, and have every right to host as well

my tanks are nothing really, i rearrange and bust things up too often to let things grow in. but i'm trying to get better and let things be, i just need to rearrange it *one* more time to take the sandbed out and put the starboard in....

what you really want is to see brad's tank. this is an old pic from right after upgrading from a 40 breeder and it's amazing how much things have grown in since. yeah, all that stuff minus alot of the rock (obviously) was in a 40 shortly before this pic.

you could just run heavy-duty extension cords around your apartment like I do......kinda ghetto, but the best I can do.

Alright. I may regret it, but I want to host after all. You guys will have to bear with me on the tiny apartment and lack of fish in my tanks, but I've worked too hard to not show off a little. Thanks to all you guys who've offered to chip in some frags. I feel a little weird accepting anything, as there is so much still alive, its just that not many people had seen how much coral there was before the 'incident'.......

I just need to get a tang or two quick, b/c I'm going to have some problems with algae soon.

I'll have to get serious with making my apartment presentable, and I won't be able to do it all til the end of the month. So, something like the last weekend of the month, tentatively speaking.

Nate

March is sounding good to me. That'll give me some time to make everything sparkle. I feel a little embarrassed, since I'm supposedly included as one of the coral gurus of Richmond along with yourself and others, so I am told. I don't know who got that idea. I just have a wet thumb, that's all. It just happens to get hit with a hammer every now and then....very hard.
