New tank needs light suggestions

I just got a new cube. 24x24x20. I am planning on keeping mainly SPS and fish. My wife wants to get me the lights for X-mas so I need suggestions. My thoughts were to go with a fixture with a 15K 250DE with a couple of PC antics. But I'm not sure if this is "overkill" or not. Also I'm not sure if I should go with a fixture or just get a pendant and a couple of strips.
On top of this I'm not sure of what brand to go with. I guess I'm not sure of a lot of things.

Hope everyone here can help.

Thanks
Harleyguy

If you go with a 250DE pendant, look at either the reefoptics III or PFO mini.....very good intensity and spread according to Sanjay's reflector analysis. Any interest in jumping on the 14k Aqua Connect bandwagon and doing without the PC? Have mine pre-ordered...love to conform!! How about an update on the 460g project to?

I am going to go with the 14K bulbs, but I am also going to run antics. The antics are mostly for viewing while the MHs are off. Who do you recommend I buy from?

As for my 460. Things have changed a little. I had to cancel my tank order, because the builder was jerking me around and after 4 months I had nothing, but a high phone bill, and an empty spot where my tank "should" have gone.
I am waiting until after the holidays to reorder. This time I will be going with James at Envision. I am also going a little bigger. The tank will be 99x36x36 (about 555 gal). I will be posting to get suggestions on lighting that beast as well.

James is building my tank also....will be ready end of next month...came to approx 500g. I'm having him install seaboard (similar to starboard) on the tank floor should I decide to go bb or with a very shallow sandbed. I would order the lights from PA. They are expected a shipment of 14k A/C in the next week or so. My tank dim are 82x44x30 with an external overflow. Talk to ya later.

Wow, everybody is using James now. Mine's supposed to be ready mid next month, but it's "only" a 250.

Yes...he's busy. Goes to show that if you do good work, give good customer service, and are honest with people, you can run a successfull business. Congrats to James.
