December party

Since the actual club members are not posting this here, I guess I will. The December party on the 9'th with also include a raffle (for club members only) Meeting will be a Pixel light in Garden City,

Here is an message about the raffle..

Ok, there has been a little confusion on the raffle items so I will try and explain a little better so that there wont be too much confusion tomorrow, also I left out some info that may be considered important.

To those of you that attended the reef tour last year, we will be holding the raffle in basically the same manner as we did previously. We have X number of items and you place your tickets in one basket and we start raffling. There will not be separate buckets for each item. However the difference this year is that we will be raffling corals and fish. Coral will be placed in 2 categories/2 buckets easy maintenance and difficult. The reason for this is to insure that you don't end up with a coral that you cant maintain. So I ask that you please place your tickets responsibly. We will be raffling live items first, then all of the remaining tickets from the live items will be placed in the dry goods bucket so that will increase your odds of winning. As far as trading goes, last year several people ended up getting multiples of the same item and we let them trade for another item so that they didn't end up with multiples. This did however create alot of confusion so we decided that if you win an item that you already have one of then you will have to see if there is another member that wants to trade with you , after you have claimed your prize or just have multiples.

I hope this helps to clarify some issues. If you still have some confusion you are more than welcome to call me and I will try help you out.

The first 30 people in the door will receive an 8 oz. package of mysis shrimp (1 per family)

Mark also mention that we may be short on chairs, if you have a few and can bring them with you it will be very much appreciated.

Thanks Kim... It didn't cross my mind even though I check out this section daily.
