Looking for aragonite sand...sugar size or similar...

Hello, Im looking for some sand for my tank...I just got rid of some cheap sand I had and so Im ready to replace it with aragonite...Im looking for sugar size or similar...I just don't want really course sand...if anyone has some for sale at a reasonable price let me know... or if you guys know where I can get some for cheap please point me in the right direction. The cheapest I have seen is Petsmart...40 pounds for $26....

Contact Ali at Amazing Aquariums.....................he had a stockpile of sand when I was there last night

Ok, so I did the math...Ali's sand is about $1.50 a pound and petsmart is about $0.65 a pound..I think Im going to stick with petsmart for now since they deliver for free right now when you order online......Unless, someone has some sand lying around they want to get rid of.

Call Ali & see if hwe will make you a deal if you're buying a lot of sand. Not to mention, you can have your sand [b]today[/b ]if you buy from Ali................

I picked up a 100# from Ali awhile back. He sells alot of sand, the Carib Sea stuff in different grits. By far the largest selection of any LFS.

go to Coral Oasis right across from John Wayne Airport in Irvine they sell live sand and i do mean literally live in the tank running with live rocks and they sell for $1.10 PER LBS!!

Ok, I finally called ALI, he will sell me the same sand and match the price as petsmart...you guys where right!!! thanks a lot...no more waiting 2 more weeks for petsmart to get their act together..

Ok, I was reading some threads on pavestone pulverized limestone...any of you guys know about this??? do any of the HD's or Lowes around here carry it or is this an east coast thing???

Mike, I wouldn't chance it due to possible Phosphates and Silica. There was one that some people used, I think it's a certain one from Southdown.

I previously had the Carib Sea Oolitic .5-1.02mm and it got blown around by my Tunzes. I switch to Seaflor Special grade and it's much better at staying put.
