ozonizers
I'm looking into getting one and so far as i can find I have 2 choices. Red Sea or Ultra Life. the UL unit seems more appealing to me becuse it looks easier to use, no air dryer and such, its also cheaper. the red sea model seems like i need to buy more add on stuff and harder? dunno need recommendation s, is th UL ozonizer a pice of crap..please help. also i have done a little research on these things but would like to also no what kind of stuff i need to have to run one. air pump, orp controller, carbon filter, do i need a reactor for the UL.
ps i saw th UL at marine depot if anyone wants to check it out who isn't familiar with it. |

The Bulb type Ozinizers like the Ultralife tend to require frequent replacement of the bulbs, just about every year and I don't think they produce consistent Ozone levels over the life span so expect decreasing Ozone production after just a few months of operation. The other problem is they are more bulky than High voltage ozone generators and more delicate.
The High voltage units require drying beads unless you live in a very dry climate and they also can get fouled and gunked up over time but overall they give less maintenance problems and more consistent output. |

You don't have 2 choices. You have many.
Personally, I had a Red Sea and it was garbage. I bought a Sanders and it is working as advertised, with no drier. |

The two i've seen people talking about are the Sanders and the Ozotech.
I don't think many of our sponsors sell these brands. Google both names and you will find distributors. If you still have problems, let me know and I'll see if I can find out where I bought my Sanders unit online. |
