need reassurance

i just started 2-part. my sodium bicarbonate, alk, is all settling on the bottom of my dosing jug. is this normal. i gotta just shake it up everytime i need it?

No, the sodium bicarbonate should have dissolved. Which recipe is this? Was the sodium bicarbonate baked? I heat the water nearly to the boiling point when mixing. That usually helps a lot.

no didn't bake it. its baking soda, do i have to bake it?
i may boil it tonite.

If you're making recipe 2, the low-pH version, the baking step isn't done. If you're making recipe 1, the baking soda should have been baked.

How much baking soda and water were mixed together?

1 mixed 2.25 cups baking soda. for one gallon ro-di should i shake or not?

Shaking isn't going to help. The baking soda should have been baked before mixing. You can dilute it with another gallon of water, and add 2 parts of alkalinity supplement for 1 part of calcium, or throw the gallon away.
