im guessing somewhere under 5 watts, they are great, i've been running mine for a few years.

the controller has two plug holes, and takes stereo mini plugs so you could use the controller to operate/dim some low voltage lighting.

i don't use the moon cycle though, as it's too dim for my liking half the time and i like to look at my tanks at night.

does it look alot better than say...if i used led nightlights from walmart? =p
