I think the scribbled rabbitfish is a much better looking alternative to the foxface. I don't like the shape of the fox at all.

i have had both in the past, and the blue hippo tang and a yellow eye kole tang together did a good job. i have kept foxface in the past and all they would do is nibble at it.

what kind of tang do you have? every tang is different. my hippo and yellow are a lawnmower to any algae that decided to grow. my foxface only do it once in a while.

How often do you feed?

If a "cleaner" is being fed alot, it will not want to eat the undesirables. What would you want? Shrimp and other gourmet meals brought to you or work to eat some nasty vegies? They're not stupid.

If you cut the feedings back, they will be more likely to eat those undesirables. Not guaranteed, but ALOT more likely. IMO.

p.s. My magnificiant foxface ate my blue gorgonian.

The little 1.5" virgatus rabbit turned into 7" bluegill in 6 months. If you try to starve him, he eats zoos, & tastes clams & LPS. I bought him because I had a small bryopsis problem, he never touched the bryopsis. The bryopsis is going away with high mag levels.
