Immediate Help

I was transporting my tank home from college. Here is the issue...during a two hour drive, the temperature dropped from 82 degrees to 72 degrees. Is this a problem because everything looks small and shriveled. Did I lose my entire coral collection: ricordea, mushrooms, kenya tree, etc.


Please answer ASAP with any suggestions on how to reconcile the issue.

You should be alright. Just don't bring the temp up to fast. That would be worse.

Going from 82F to 72F shouldn't be too bad, I agree. Granted the corals will be stressed, and you may possibly lose one here or there, you'll be fine =)
But yes, as skippy2 says, be sure not to raise the temperature to fast on them. Acclimation!

i agree . your corals are probably just really ****ed off lol nothing to worry about. if corals can handle being shipped over night im sure they can handle a 2hr drive. good luck man

They will be alright, soft corals shrivle up when they are stressed. Especialy in conditions where the temp changes like that.
