Cyano problem?

I have these deep red algae like areas that are fuzzy in appearance that are starting to form. It comes on stronger during the day and at lights out it starts to go away. Its very easily removed. Any suggestions on what it is?

Do you have a phosphate tester?
Cyano tends to break out when phosphates are high - usually due to overfeeding (of which I'm currently guilty).

Suck 'em up during water changes, cut back on feed, adjust water flow.
There are phosphate-absorbing media that you can purchase. I have some in my protein skimmer.

It could also be your bulbs. How old are they?
