Here's my 20g with a 15g fuge....it's as simple as it gets.

Ignore the power cords. They now have drip loops and the plugs are mounted on the wall.

Here's my [old] 20long sump/fuge. I'm actually currently in the process of making a new and bigger one for my new skimmer.

My 10g refugium, top off resevoir on the bottom:

and the hoses in the middle are the returns from the refugium in my sump/LR area:

I'm planning on replaceing all that with a custom 15-20g sump w/refugium hopefully sometime this winter (and clean up all those cables and plumbing while I'm at it).

Heres my 20L for my 65 tank. I just built an identical one only shorter with a 15G tank for our 29g frag/grow out tank. The sump is now covered with coraline algae and the cheato grows like crazy...Just got rid of a bunch of cheato since it filled the whole center and it was chock full of brittle stars, pods, snails and all the other goodies. I guess this design is working pretty good for that

Mag-Drive 3 into a SCWD with two returns into the show tank. The SCWD is great. Flow on the left then right. Left right, left, right. Keeps the surface agitated and scum free.

Here's mine. Excuse the photo quality. My camera is old. I just set it up a few weeks ago, so I don't have much algae growth.

Good idea for a thread. I was wondering how you get it to where you have a even water level. What pump size to use for water going into your refugium and what size out.

for a 20h

I only have pumps going from my sump to my tank. The overflow balances itself out on its own, as long as your overflow plumbing is big enough to not restrict whats going out.
