Encrusting war?

I have an orange plate that is blowing up very nicely and running into resistance from some straggler Zoos and this morphed green mille. The green mille after a minor crash incident months ago has decided to only build tiny branches now and just keep encrusting out.

Anyways, what would you do? Can I just let be, or will they start to hurt the plate. I tried scraping the zoos off a few weeks ago, but they just came back stronger. Should I try to glue the edges and kill the zoos and mille?

The plate is very healthy probably a 6 inch long encrusting base that is 3-4inches high....

If the millie comes in contact with the plate, it will kill it. I usually just prune the plates away from my acros and let the acros grow up through the plates.

Here's one. I had to use the flash to get a good pic though.

I took some pics but left camera at home...They are about a 1mm from touching. I think I'm going to prune the mille, I don't like how it's growing anyways.
