Any one has Acanthastrea bowerbanki?
Is it rare coral since I never seen anybody online claiming to have one of this coral.

I'm not sure if that's a bowerbankii, the coral id says it does not have fleshy polyps but rich said it did. It doesn't really matter what it is if you like the way it looks though, it was a little too much for me right now but a nice piece

Randy,

That got shipped in the day before and was riding around in the car for a few hours. The picture was taken immediately after it went into the tank. It looks much better now. After only a single day the tissue expanded so you don't really see the skeleton and the tentacles came out to feed. Is it an A. echinata? The polyps are much bigger then the other two colonies of echinata/subechinata I have.

Let's see a couple new pics Steve. Maybe one of the whole colony, and one closeup of a polyp, and we will see what we can come up with.

JenDub,

Your collection of ancan is awesome. How long have you been collecting. It seem like you have all the color.

Thanks for the kind words. I have been in this hobby for a year or so but have always loved marine life. Trust me, I don't have all the colors, not yet.
