Tell me about it. My tank is just how I want it, and now I have to break it down. What a pitty! I am so depressed...If I don't get a lot of interest, then I will start to sell of the corals. This is a great deal. I would buy it if I was looking. I have well over $4000 worth of equipment. I will start to sell corals if there is no interest. Replied to PM's.

I wil Reef Sit your tank for you, untill your ready for it again. I have room in my basement and we can write up a contract to assure you get everything back, when your ready to pick it up. That way you dont have to get rid of your tank, and still stay in the hobby.

Thanks for the offer T5PO, but if I am going to move it to your house, I can just move it with me. I don't want to have to keeo moving it, that's all. I might however bring it to my parents house if there isn't a lot of interest. I really hate to sell it. It will cost me a fortune to regain everything I have.

What you could do is have people coral sit for you for as long as it takes, put all your equipment and rock (dry) in your parents basement. Then when you're ready to restart it'll be cheaper and easier.

I know there's a lot of club members that'd love to hold a coral or two for you.

You have a good idea Tom (aka Al Capone) Thanks for the idea and help. How long will it last dry in my basement? I have at least 150lbs of LR alone and it is all covered in coraline. Will there be a terrible smell from it siting out of water?

I will let everyone know what I plan on doing. Thanks T5PO. I will let you know if I need help. I am planning on moving my furniture out this weekend, at the latest, move the tank next weekend. We will see how things work out.

Thanks for all your kind words and offers. It is greatly appreciated and is the reason this is the greatest club in the world. You guys/gals are the best

Kevin

P.S. And just so you know, my nona recently found out she has cancer, so I am going to move in with her to help her when she gets out of the hospital.

I would think it would last indefinitely (rocks) As to the smell, it depends on how much life is on your rocks. Perhaps if you have a garage or something like that you could keep it out there where its colder (detached would even be better). Leave the lids cracked to allow it to air out and when you restart your system you'll just have to cure your rocks before hand and seed with a couple new pieces.

I'd take the route of saving your system as T5PO and Tom have suggested. You know you'll be back reefin' again.

I'm also sorry to hear about your emergency. I live in Bristol too and would be interested in some of the coral if you don't end up selling the whole setup (probably even some of the equipment). Let me know what you decide.

With all the PM's I have received, I almost have everything spoken for already. Here is a list of items that people have spoken for as I received the PM's:
Shiftnation
All 3 Acans
1 frogspawn
bubble coral
pink brain
snails and crabs
maxijets
rocks (how many pounds?)

Argi
XL Galaxea
XL Brain (Green)
Hydnophore
Rest Frogspawn
Candy cane
Scissortail goby (might not be able to catch him until rock is gone)

Erickrm
Tort
Mushrooms
Hippo
Clown goby (they are not orange, and will not be able to catch until rock is gone)

This takes care of almost all corals. I still have tank, light, LR, and supplies left. I also have a Red Sea Wavemaker Pro for the maxijets (Maybe Shiftnation is interested). Sending PM to these people with prices. Let me know if you want them. I have a list of others interested, and they won't be here for long.

I would love to keep the tank, but I will need to money too. So I will just have to go bigger next time when I get back. Thanks again for looking and supporting me.

Kevin

Thanks Erick. Glad everything went well and the corals/fish are fine. A lot of people are asking me to post prices, but I would rather have people come and check everything out. Trust me, the more you buy, the more $$$ I will give you off. Just ask Erick!
