Tang Sick?

I just noticed my purple tang twiching every couple seconds. I thought I read somewhere its a symptom of a disease but cannot find the thread....anyone???

Twitching could be a result of a variety of diseases. Tangs are prone to ich. Does it have any minute white spots on its fins / body

Yes he does have white spots

Excellent. You generally treat with copper sulphate - or you can try feeding garlic

One details medicine and the other cgenerally covers feeding garlic. Unfortunately you will now have ich in your tank but it can be kept at bay with a good diet and good water.Good luck

Catching them is a problem (or should I say nightmare). You can get a fish trap or make one, or, fish it out with hook and line. Just take the barb out.
If you cant catch him start him on the garlic whilst he is in the main tank

Dont mean to laugh, I went through the same thing last month, NIGHTMARE just about sums it up! Had to take just about everything out. Domino DAMsel, same thing. Good Luck and dont Stress.
