Favia

I have a green colored favia that I got from a local frag swap. It has approximately 5 mouths on it. Does my new coral have to be target fed? If so I have heard lights out is the best time, is this also true?

You don't have to feed it. If you do it will grow faster. Sometimes it takes a little bit for the coral to get used to being fed if it wasn't fed in it's last home. It will accept food whenever you feed it. Turn pumps off so the food doesn't get blown away.

I agree with achidna and also the light being out is the usual time when coral switch from absorbing light to extending its tentacle to catch tiny food particles.
