Olympus C-3000Z with the Olympus housing. I've been wanting to upgrade, but results like these don't give me a lot of incentive to do so.

That was a treat for me. I'd never come across one before. Same for the turtle. My dive buddies were cold so they got in the boat and I stayed down to burn the rest of my air. (I have to add that diving with out a buddy is not generally a good idea) Anyway, because of it just being me, and I was keeping very still and limiting bubble release to get closer to my subjects, I think that's why I was able to see both of them one the same dive.

Loggerhead shots.
Actually, it was a hawksbill, but it's very hard to tell the difference.

the link you gave.....the other turtle pics. You labeled loggerhead. Are those hawksbill as well? The one where you lowered your camera in the water.

The octopus shot is truly a rare shot! Savor it!

If you want to see turtles, go to Sipidan, off the east coast of Borneo. LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG way to go to get there, but well worth the trip. If you don't see thirty turtles on any given dive, you had your eyes closed.

My mistake. You are correct. The pictures on the surface were of a loggerhead (I think). The underwater shots were a hawksbill.

Can you hook me up with vis, temp, and seas report?
Crappy, cold, excellent. The weather was good, but the current was brisk and vis was bad.

Hey Bomber, Kyle said to say thanks for eveything.

As always, we had a great stay, the apt. is awesome.

Rocky,

They were sissies. I was wearing a 1.5 mil suit and was happy as a clam. I think Jerel had on a 3 or 4 mil shortie and he froze. Temp was 75 - 77 depending on thermoclines and the current.
