Worms?

Hey guys, we just noticed last night, 2 worms sticking out of our live rock (looked like they were eating stuff off the sand) they looked like regular eartch worms, are these good or bad? anyone have a proper name for us to research?

I'd get a photo posted asap. Bristleworms i know are harmless, and they live up to that name, I wouldn't desribe them as "earthworm" looking due to the large amounts of bristles, but i've seen pictures of some not so friendly worms that do more resemble an earthworm.

For a DSB, worms would be your best bet.

As was mentioned, if you can get us a pic, it'll be easier to ID. In the meantime, do a google search for Bristle Worms and for Peanut Worms. What you're describing sounds more like Peanut Worms. They're harmless and actually "eat" rock...lol.

Sipunculans AKA Peanut Worms come in many shades of browns and grays. some have stripes, some dont. they are all excellent to have in the tank. here is some more info on them.
